
My Story
Joana Adovor has been serving as a dedicated Midwife at St. Martin de Porres Hospital in Ghana’s Western Region since 2017. As a Senior Midwifery Officer, she has worked across multiple units, offering comprehensive maternal and child health services, including antenatal care, delivery support, and postnatal services to women in her community.
Her commitment extends beyond delivering care—Joana also leads cervical cancer screening initiatives, ensuring early detection and support for women’s health.
Joana holds a Degree in Midwifery, which laid the foundation for her clinical expertise and compassionate approach to care. Her dedication to women’s health and her leadership in preventive screening programs make her a vital contributor to the ACO Women Campaign and the Eikwe Project’s mission to strengthen healthcare access in underserved areas.
Her clinical versatility and deep commitment to preventive care have made her a trusted figure among patients and colleagues alike.
