STRONG BEYOND THE MISSION

Mass Cancer Screening for the Ghana Armed Forces

Protect Your Health
Protect Your Future

The African Cancer Organisation (ACO) is proud to announce a major national initiative: a comprehensive mass cancer screening programme for the men and women of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). This high‑impact project reflects ACO’s commitment to advancing cancer prevention, early detection, and health equity across Ghana—beginning with the brave personnel who safeguard the nation.

Why This Matters

Cancer remains one of the fastest‑growing health threats in Ghana, yet early detection dramatically improves survival. Military personnel often face unique occupational pressures, long deployments, and limited time for routine health checks. By bringing screening services directly to their doorstep, ACO is ensuring that no soldier, officer, or support staff is left behind in the fight against cancer.

This programme focuses on the cancers most affecting Ghanaian men and women, including:

  • Prostate cancer

  • Breast cancer

  • Cervical cancer

  • Colorectal cancer

  • Liver cancer
